Activities

YCOF intends to facilitate continuous learning for its young professional members and provide out-of-the-box material to its student members so they are better equipped than their peers at workplace. Practicing young communication professionals and students of mass communication are our members. During these two years, we have organized many knowledge-based interactive events & programmes that can help the communication students and young professionals in their academics and career, respectively.

Apart from regular training programmes, YCOF also organizes an annual conference that brings together a fraction of the entire mass communication fraternity in the country. Last year, we organized a two-day annual national communication conclave ‘COMMUNEXT – version 1.0’ on 16th and 17th of September, in Hyderabad.

About 200 delegates attended the conference from various cities. Sri Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary – Tourism Department, Govt. of A.P., inaugurated the conclave. Young speakers and veteran guests from across the country like Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, Laxminarasimha, Shrinivasan Iyer, Shrinivas Ayyar, Aparna Malladi, Rathna Sekhar & Satya Nagesh Ayyagary addressed the delegates. The conclave also recognized exemplary work & significant contribution by youngsters in various streams of communication by giving away Y IMAGINE Excellence Awards.

And now, we are all set to conduct the second annual national communication conference, i.e. ‘COMMUNEXT – version 2.0’ on 28th and 29th of September, 2012. Every year, we set a central theme for the entire conclave which governs all sessions alongside their respective topics. This time, the theme of the conclave is ‘COMMUNICATION AND CONVERGENCE – A Boot Camp’ addressing exclusive sessions on two important communication streams: Public Relations and Business Communication.
