YCOF – Young Communicators’ Forum is the place for young intellects to put forth their words of excellence, quench their thirst for knowledge, flaunt their passion in the right progression, reach out to faces, places and organisations that need the perfect touch of nascent proficiency.

Young Communicators Forum deals with people of high zeal and zest for knowledge and creativity. We believe in unbiased and equal opportunities to all. Talented mass-communicators come together at YCOF to facilitate continuous learning programmes for the young professional members and knowledge exchange programmes to the student members. Our aim is to produce apt communicators. Young Communicators’ Forum respects & welcomes all those with knowledge and capability to handle communication profession with dignity and saleability. YCOF shall rebuild the image of ‘communication’ professionals in the country, being a standalone forum that addresses ONLY communication needs for the younger generation. Nothing but knowledge, creativity, passion and communicating skills & concepts shall be encouraged.

We at Young Communicators do not hold anything higher than matter of substance, credibility, worth of intellect and willingness to work hard and strive for excellence in the profession. Keeping in mind all these founding bricks, we take pride in declaring that the Young Communicators’ Forum is exclusively for working professionals or students from Corporate Communication, Journalism, Theater, Advertising, Brand Management, Marketing, Event Management, Voice Artistry, Film-making, Public Management, Content Writing, Photography, Multimedia, Business Management and other media/mass communication inclined stream of practice or knowledge. MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN ONLY FOR MEMBERS OF AGE 18-35. We started with 350 members in just one city. Today, YCOF has connected to over 1000 members across the country WITHOUT ANY PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITY OR MEMBERSHIP DRIVE. Such is the magnetic field of this MOVEMENT that if an individual believes that he/she is an intoxicating talent then THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. The forum is expanding in all cities in India and therefore, is in the constant hunt for leaders. So, here is the first golden opportunity for those young minds which have high-ranking creativity, boundless amount of energy and inspiring competency. At YCOF, we treat all alike. We have no reservations when it comes to handing over responsibilities. So the head could be an experienced professional or a graduating student – as long as he/she satisfies the membership criteria. However, any kind of intentional or unintentional harm to the sanctity and decorum of the Forum, by any of the members, shall be critically dealt with. YCOF will not encourage self publicity of any individual. Members using YCOF as a medium to promote themselves, without seeking permission in advance or offering a valid reason, will be immediately expelled from the forum without giving any prior notice. These rights are reserved with the Governing Council (YGC) & the Founder.

Way back in 2006 started as a service blog.

'PR extension' is the service extended in major districts of andhra Pradesh, India, with a view to facilitate customers take their PR activities to the audience in entire AP. Operates from a small outfit in Hyderabad called N P R ( Non-paper Resources) which is in the field of communications and Public Relations. It is a consultancy that offers managerial services and caters to the need of growing demand in Public Relations in many corporate houses and the culture to team up with the need of tomorrow. N P R has come up in 4 years of its establishing in the related business and has the impetus and insight to grow.

Future of Public Relations is Social Media!

We wrestle to pitch in as the best PR practitioners without having the basics of strategies or updated skills that would support our thought process in presenting our plans for the clients/company. Scrappy start-ups and key lines will no more be satisfying the client/company. Punching above without having a means to best present our credentials to clients/company will go to waste basket. Recession or no recession, we need to catch-up with new trends of the PR industry practice, use tools and technology magnanimously while branding the company’s message . Take the mere lip service little forward to actual and train ourselves. We will increasingly need to step out of the shadows, to serve as transparent client/company’s advocates in a community relations role. Client/company will handle this on their own with internal resources, but even in those cases we can expect PR personnel to supplement the effort – and in the process, become well-known to various online community segments. This is a far cry from our historical role behind-the-scenes. It also is scary from a talent retention standpoint. The future Public Relations will crush PR practitioners who are unprepared to meet the advancing waves of changes.
Some key hooks that will help preparing to undergo lies far outside our comfort zone. Here are some random thoughts on The Future of Public Relations…using social media. Social media is no more a ‘checkbox’ but it works like direct interactive forum between client/company and stake holders.
Lets move on from Proactive to Interactive. On an ongoing basis, Public Relations practitioners must learn to use social media as an online chat forum to keep both the employees and the employer together to share thoughts. This Community outreach model will minimize the impact of unavoidable isuess. The employer can understand every employee very close and vice versa.
Blog is one such social media that can collaborate the community employer and employee. Minute to minute, the loyalists can pitch in with their thoughts, appreciation, grievances on the blog. Writing for blogs also will also elevate you as a thought leader. Add your own spin and commentary it doesn't have to be long, just interesting. It is imperative that your blog get its reader more than just facts. Remember, the value-addition for the reader is your views and analysis. If you can relate some personal experiences along the way, all the better.
Youtube as your drawing room online to share photographs and videographs. This sharing of personnel information can help reduce stress , motivate others to be personnel and more interactive. Events of the company can be shared online. This is good communication accessory for the ex-employees.
Face book: An online community that share the expertise and knowledge with people of the same stature. Knowledge shared is knowledge gained. Content Management in face book is a challenging work. PR practitioners must learn to use social media to exploit news disposition asap. This will reach faster than your press release and fax news.
Increasing number of journalists and editors are going through blogs/face books/YouTube on a daily basis. It's becoming imperative that Public Relations personnel start using these social media to faster reach the target audience and keep up with that trend".
